Fhen is a self-taught artist/illustrator and writer. Born in the UK to Ugandan parents, they’ve spent most of their life in South Africa. They lived abroad in China, teaching English until the pandemic led to them transitioning into online teaching while getting their creative career off the ground. They have written articles, (unfinished) novels, book reviews, scripts for an animated series, two webcomic series, short stories, comics, and several journal entries. They are working on a collection of graphic short stories about their trauma, therapy, and healing. They are also creating a manga-inspired series titled Freya and the Five Selves, which borrows from their experiences with trauma and recovery. Fhen’s life goal is to be a pet parent to two little puppies, write and illustrate a host of graphic novels, manga series, zines, and comic books, travel again (because they love that sh*t), and live happily ever after in the woods someplace peaceful and serene. Fhen is an AuDHD diva who loves oversharing and making comics about mental health and periods.
